Artifact Transmog

A good-looking weapon like Sheilun requires a good-looking transmog to go with. But it can be hard to find matching sets. Here I’ve done a small compilation of custom transmog sets for each artifact tint. Hopefully you’ll find some inspiration to spiff up your monk!

Wowhead Wardrobe
The links will direct you to the Wowhead Dressing Room where you can inspect the items the transmog use. Just keep in mind that Wowhead sometimes display incorrect textures, colors and animations. But if you look up the items in-game, they should be consistent with the image displayed.

PvP/Faction items
I’ve tried to avoid items that are faction-bound (although I might have missed one or two), so that both Horde and Alliance can use the transmogs. Just keep in mind that there are a lot of cool PvP items out there too that can replace part of the mogs. Experiment!

Sheilun, Staff of the Mists

Sheilun, Staff of the Mists is the base appearance of the weapon. The color tints can be unlocked by acquiring a pillar of creation, doing the quest chain Light’s Heart and completing the first step of your class campaign.

Toll of the Deep Mist

Toll of the Deep Mist  is the upgraded version of Sheilun and is unlocked by completing your class campaign. The tints are unlocked after you unlocked all artifact traits, researched your weapons history (artifact knowledge), and completed the achievement “This Side Up” (archaeology).

Spirit of Chi-Ji

Spirit of Chi-Ji  is a reward from the long quest chain Balance of Power that takes you through dungeons and raids. The tints are unlocked after you’ve killed 8 world bosses, done a 15 mythic+ keystone on time and completed the achievement Glory of the Legion Hero.

Sha’s Torment

Sha’s Torment is the PvP artifact appearance. You get the tints in Prestige level 2, 6, 11 and 15.

Essence of Calm

Essence of Calm is unlocked by doing the Mage Tower challenge: End of the Risen Threat scenario. It’s an incredibly challenging solo scenario, but it gets easier the better gear you have. The tints are unlocked when you kill Kil’Jaeden on Heroic mode with the appearance equipped, when you’ve won 10 RBGs and killed all dungeon bosses with it.

Breath of the Undying Serpent

Breath of the Undying Serpent is the hidden appreance for Mistweavers. It drops from the Dragons of Nightmare in the Emerald Nightmare (and nowadays have bad-luck protection). The tints are unlocked if you equip the appearance and completed 30 dungeons, 200 world quests and killed 1000 enemy players.
