The art for the Paladin UI is finally done for my patrons! It’s been a long time coming, but thank you for the support. I will continue painting Class UIs in the future. For my non-patron followers, you can buy my art on Gumroad in a month’s time!
Creating your own Paladin UI
Step 1: Download Addons
Elvui – All Elvui addons can easily be downloaded with the Tukui Client.
Time flies when you’re having fun, and I’ve been playing World of Warcraft like crazy. Enough to forget to update the blog as I should. But I will try to rectify that now! Here is the first batch of updates, concerning weakauras and transmog.
Weakaura HUDs for all three Monk specs
New and updated HUDs for all three specs are available here:
I’ve been looking forward to sharing this for a long time. The past month I’ve been working on some new free UIs and textures for Monks. This is of course part of the update for my blog, which still has a few outdated pages (but a few less now!). These UIs are very simple Elvui profiles with some extra custom art and textures, and I hope you’ll like them!
It’s all for free, but some links lead to my Gumroad store. Just type in 0$ to download the art packages for free, or add a few dollars to show support for my work. Thanks! :)
Hello, fellow monks! In this fine evening, I’ve managed to get the time to do smaller updates on my blog. Some minor tweaks on the Basic Mistweaving Guide, added weakauras for the Artifact in my Icon Aura Library and added four new looks for the Custom Transmog page. I still have many things I want to update, but small steps, people.
Mistweaver Artifact Auras
There are two auras pertinent for our new artifact: the stacks for Sheilun’s Gift and the duration of the buff Mists of Sheilun. I’ve added those to the Icon Aura Library if you want specific trackers for them. As for the two other major traits; they’re rather self-evident so there’s no need for auras for them.
If you’re missing any icon auras in my library, just give me a shout and I’ll see if I can whip something up when I have time. But I think I’ve covered most of a Mistweaver’s need.
Have you ever played the indie game Journey on PS3 or PS4? It is, hands down, the most beautiful game ever created. There’s no comparison when it comes to music, art and story. As I was tanking in my Brewmaster spec, I realised I wanted my UI to have some of the textures that can be seen in Journey. One, two, three, and a creative avalanche had set off. I brushed up my custom textures for the Brewmaster spec, and as I was admiring it, I knew I had to copy it to all my other specs. So… A few hours later, and my UI now looks shiny and new. Again. Thank my addiction.
The Mistweaver have been silent for a while. It is because the Mistweaver found herself in a deep dark hole called user interface addiction and couldn’t dig herself out until the screen was covered in jade mist and mysterious symbols that meant nothing unless you had the secret cheat note. The Mistweaver has currently seen a spot of light and can communicate with the outside world again. For a while, at least. The Mistweaver will stop talking about herself in third person now.
If you’ve seen my latest video, my Gruul mythic kill, you may have noticed that my UI looks about 300% more spaced out now with 200% more Monk references. Yeah, that’s what I’ve been doing the past days and it’s not even half of it. I may or may not have done an equal effort to pimp my Windwalker and Brewmaster UI in the same fashion.
“Hello, my name is Ashleah and I am a UI addict. It has been 20 minutes since I last tweaked my weakauras.”
Now that I’m back home I’ve finally added the Mistweaver Clock aura that everyone was screaming about. But I didn’t stop just there, I’ve updated every single aura I have in my library. Yes, it takes freaking hours to do. I’ve got black belt in patience.
If you want this WeakAura that hows Mana and Mana Tea stacks, head over to my;
After a lot of work I’m finally done with my WeakAura Library! Here you can find export strings to many WeakAuras for Mistweavers. There are Mistweaver cooldowns, general Monk cooldowns and some indicators. Take a look at it here:
And yes, the very sought-after Mana and Chi indicator can be found there.
Instructions Copy the export string, then go into WoW. Use the /wa commando to bring the Weakaura menu up then click on Import and paste the export string.
If you want to move the weakaura (which you likely want to do), select the weakaura you want to move by clicking on the group in the menu (not the specific auras within the group). Then the weakaura will pop up on your screen. You can move the aura by clicking and dragging on the anchor at the centre of the aura. Place the aura where you want it to be. If you want to have a more precise location on the aura, click on the aura in the menu then go to “Group”. At the bottom you can find X-offset and Y-offset coordinates where you can specify where you want the aura more exactly.
If you want to change size or color you have to open up the weakaura group (there’s a small plus sign to extend the group). You have to change each aura individually, so click on the aura then “Display”. There you can play around with the looks of the aura.
Hope you guys like it!
