Not everyone has been granted beta access to Bfa, yet, so there are many questions regarding the new capitals – Where are they? How big are they? How do they look? For those who still wonder about this, let me guide you around our new homes for Battle for Azeroth. There’s the Horde capital Dazar’Alor, together with the Alliance capital Boralus. Enjoy!
Dazar’Alor – Horde Capital
Dazar’Alor is located within the jungles of Zuldazar on the Zandalar continent (confusing, I know). The area is comprised of two big pyramids together with a large harbor. There are some questing areas within the capital itself, so don’t be surprised if you run into enemies if you take a wrong turn.
By looking only at the map, one gets the impression that the capital is quite small. This is of course an illusion of scale; the capital is huge. To give you an impression of how big it is, I made a video of me running through the capital. Have a look:
In Battle for Azeroth, we will say goodbye to our artifacts. Instead we will get a neck-piece called Heart of Azeroth, which we will empower with Azerite much like we empowered the artifacts with artifact power. Here is a small preview of how the system works, with a sneak peek at a few Monk traits!
November is creeping towards its end, which of course means that the Patreon deadline for this month’s UI is closing in. Here is a small preview of what’s in store this month! A full-feathered package of themed interface art to adorn your screen, in the colours of autumn!
If you are new to Patreon: it’s a subscription service for NEW art I do every month. Patrons pledge at any day of the month; at the last day of the month Patreon withdraw the money and when all pledges have been processed, I send out the rewards to eligible patrons.
I’m gonna do something different this month, and instead of showing you a small sneak peek of this month’s Patreon rewards, I will show you a full preview. Do mind though, it’s still a work in progress and I still have time left before deadline. I’m still polishing the art and work at other pieces!
A new reward for this month is the Texture Package. It contains 5 textures that can be used for different things such as unit frames (if you implement it with SharedMedia addon), weakauras, or other creative work. I love customized textures, especially once implemented with SharedMedia, because you can personalize your UI so much. Works for Elvui, DBM, Skada, and many more addons.
The art can also be used for your own creative work if you want to do extended work on your UI. I’ve seen some of my patrons done their own version of my UIs through some awesome Photoshop work, and I love to give you the tools to customize how much you want! Go nuts!
