Teahouse Patreon is Launched!

The day has come for me to finally launch my very own Patreon! This is a big step forward, guys. I am super excited to share this, since it basically means I’m committing more seriously to the blog and the UI work I do. But first things first, I bet there are a lot of people who haven’t heard of Patreon yet – so I will explain what this is all about!

What is Patreon?
Patreon is a site for creative people who need support. It allows people to donate to the creator on a monthly basis, and in return, the Patrons (the donators) will receive some awesome rewards by the creator as a thank you!

Here’s the link to my Patreon page:

Okay, donations, got it! But how much?
You decide how much you want to donate on a monthly basis! You can decide on whichever amount you like. There will be different rewards depending on how you you donate, however.

Tell me about the rewards!
I have set the rewards to three different tiers, and they are as follows (I have named the tiers for my own amusement, as well):

Tier 1 – Donate $1 or more

“Tea Leaf Novice”
  • My eternal thanks for supporting me and the Misty Teahouse, our little corner of the WoW community!
  • Access to Patreon activity feed.

Tier 2 – Donate $10 or more

“Tea Cup Initiate”
  • My eternal thanks for supporting me and the Misty Teahouse, our little corner of the WoW community!
  • Access to Patreon activity feed.
  • A monthly tutorial (UI, Mistweaver knowledge, and other good stuff)

Tier 3 – Donate $25 or more

“Tea Festivity Master”
  • My eternal thanks for supporting me and the Misty Teahouse, our little corner of the WoW community!
  • Access to Patreon activity feed.
  • A monthly tutorial (UI, Mistweaver knowledge, and other good stuff)
  • A themed set of art files – UI friendly! (Note: reward contains only art files of my own design. Help with UI set-up will always be free on the blog!)
Example of a thmed set of art files. New themed sets will be of my own original design and may contain different graphic elements.

Cool! When can I get the rewards?
The rewards are distributed at the beginning of each month. So, if you decide to pledge today, you will receive the rewards around March 1-7.

How do I collect my rewards?
I will send them to you through Patreon message once I see all payments have been processed. You will receive an e-mail once they’re sent – so double-check that your e-mail is accurate!

When does the money withdraw from my account?
The money is withdrawn at the beginning of the following month. A.k.a. pledging somewhere in February, means the donation isn’t processed until March 1-7.

I am a little nervous to be honest; I will have to basically create a whole UI every month. It is a daunting task, but I aim for success! And just to give you a heads up, the new themed sets may not always adhere to the Monk lore. I will go where the inspiration takes me. But the themed set will always work for the Monk aesthetics, since I use my Mistweaver as a template. I want to create UIs for a wider audience, so that the same set could work for more than one class.

I know that $25 can be a little steep for the tier 3 rewards, but it reflects the amount of work spent on creating the art. In the future, I might add more middle tier rewards. But first I want to see if I can manage to create the rewards I have set out to do first: if that works smoothly, I will add more tiers and more rewards as I go along.

If you decide to support the work I do – the blog, the guides, the shared UI work, the stream and everything in between – I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart! Your support is invaluable and I’m equally happy to give some of my work in return. I’m looking forward to a bright mistweavy new future with you guys! ♥
