I’m a bit embarrassed. Here I was, browsing my own blog and suddenly realized that I hadn’t updated my transmog page. To cover my negligence, I’ve now added T18 Monk set and the Season 17 PvP set. You can find them on the “Monk Sets” page. I’ve also taken the liberty of adding my two favourite Draenor transmogs in “Customized sets“; Jade Healer and Tide Healer. But only two, because I must say, Draenor hasn’t exactly favoured transmog this expansion.
Blizzard may have gone a little overboard with the whole “primal” look. It’s all fur and tattered cloth everywhere. I mean, our BiS chest looks like a fur bikini top on females. I’m not a hundred percent sure what the male version is supposed to look like. Maybe a bib?
Some good things though. As of T18, tier set designs will be inspired by the class instead of the raid settings. Can’t overstate my relief on this decision! The whole Kromog boulder shoulders T17’s normal and heroic designs had to deal with was a little off-putting. Them Mythic shoulders though, they were just about right. Jade fire and golden details? “Please sir, I want some more?”
The launch of Warlords of Draenor has been a rollercoaster ride of joy and frustration. The content is magnificent, beautiful and fun, but also bugged and burdened with lag. I managed to finally get my Mistweaver up to a level 100 about a day ago. It took many hours, of which half of the time I battled with D/C, freeze spikes with NPCs and characters not loading. But let me tell the tale of how the journey went.
Through the Portal – I cried for so many different reasons
Or you know, cried, laughed, and internally howled in frustration. It started with all of us logged in right before midnight. The lag had already started and everyone was crowding in Blasted Lands. I had parked myself in Deadwind Pass just to get away from the worst of it, even though that didn’t help much. When the clock struck midnight the whole server stood upon Khadgar, not letting anyone click on him to continue the quest chain. After some shuffling and shouting, I finally entered the Dark Portal.
The experience of the opening event was even cooler than in the Beta, partly because there were so many people there, and partly because there were actually NPCs there, instead of cardboard cut-outs (haha, Blizzard). It took forever to process through, the lag was vicious. I had a whole party who did it (we were four people LANing), but we all got in at different times. We met up later when we got to Shadowmoon Valley. If anyone was there at the time of the launch, you’ll probably remember the impossible raven quest when there was a complete frenzy to tag the few spawning mobs. Oh yeah, and you had to spam the banners until your fingers started bleeding. But after that, the actual levelling started.
We all know at the end of Mythic SoO, Garrosh Hellscream lies ultimately defeated. He is contaminated by the blood of an old god, but hey, it’s still him! We know that he didn’t die, even though Go’el wanted to inverse his face with a hammer. Varian stopped him the last second and demanded a trial. Fair enough.
But now we know from the story of Warlords of Draenor that Hellscream is out and about again. Not just in another world, but also several years in the past. In a different timeline.
Confused? You’re not the only one. The story from the end of the Siege to where the new expansion unfold is told in a couple of novels. For you who lack patience to dig yourself through the hefty lore, I’ll do a short recap of what happened after the end of Siege of Orgrimmar!
Finally done with the first updates.
These pages are updated for Mistweavers 6.0 and beyond, so take a look!
– For a list of all MW abilites go to —-> Spellbook
– If you’re interested in the new talents go to —-> Talents
– If you want to know about stats and glyphs go to —-> Build
– If you need help with rotation and strategies go to —-> Strategy
Since the tuning keep changing the spell coefficients I have simply put in [X%] or [X% of Spell Power] where the spell equation is supposed to go. I will be updating them when Warlords of Draenor hits. Hopefully Blizzard has made up their mind by then.
In the meantime, take a look at the guides. Hopefully you’ll learn something new. I’ll keep working on the Proving Grounds guide for now. I’ll just might get it up before the next century (damn, it got immense).
