After a long artist’s block, I’ve finally completed the Druid UI. Hopefully you’ll like it! Note that these will be sent out to the eligible patrons. If you’ve missed it and want to buy the UI, it’ll be up on my Gumroad in a month. Happy UI assembling!
Creating your own Druid UI
Step 1: Download Addons
Elvui – All Elvui addons can easily be downloaded with the Tukui Client.
Elvui Color Tags (if you don’t download this, you will get small error tags on unit frames in the elvui profile).
Elvui Absorb Tags (if you don’t download this, you will get small error tags on unit frames in the elvui profile).
I’m gonna do something different this month, and instead of showing you a small sneak peek of this month’s Patreon rewards, I will show you a full preview. Do mind though, it’s still a work in progress and I still have time left before deadline. I’m still polishing the art and work at other pieces!
A new reward for this month is the Texture Package. It contains 5 textures that can be used for different things such as unit frames (if you implement it with SharedMedia addon), weakauras, or other creative work. I love customized textures, especially once implemented with SharedMedia, because you can personalize your UI so much. Works for Elvui, DBM, Skada, and many more addons.
The art can also be used for your own creative work if you want to do extended work on your UI. I’ve seen some of my patrons done their own version of my UIs through some awesome Photoshop work, and I love to give you the tools to customize how much you want! Go nuts!
It’s this time of the month again – Patreon sneak peek! The art of my April themed set is called Cyber UI, in lack of a better name. Name-forging is not my forté, mkay? But I make that up with dragons and art that make even me proud, even though I’d say I’m my own harshest critic. I hope you find it awesome too!
Badum- badum- tssh! Here comes the preview or sneak peek of my Cyber UI, though as always, I still have a week to polish it so the finished product might look a bit different. And trust me, if I’m allowed the time, I will fiddle with it until the last minute. It’s like a compulsion, can’t let it be.
Do I have a cool backstory to my UI as I did with the Minoan? Ehm, well. No, to be honest. I just had a really cool idea of what I wanted to do, and I got the idea from a green texture I saw. Yeah, a small piece of texture gave me the idea of the whole UI, and I just worked it from there. Funny how the art grows so organically in the course of the month, sometimes it even surprises myself.
I’m celebrating my 100th post, behold, the majesty of my post count. I don’t know many words I’ve written until this point, but I do know that so far I’ve got 56,000 unique visitors and over 240,000 views. It feels quite epic that my blog, a small corner in the Mistweaver community, has achieved this. I think a celebratory tea is in order! Hurray for the tea!
On another note, I’ve been tinkering with so many projects lately besides the progression on Hellfire Citadel (Archimonde heroic, da bastard!). It involves my UI. Naturally. You didn’t expect anything else, did you? I’m a UI-holic, it never stops. Just a fair warning though, don’t do a huge makeover before important raiding. Relearning your whole UI while progressing Archimonde is a bit too hardcore. Even for me.
The Mistweaver have been silent for a while. It is because the Mistweaver found herself in a deep dark hole called user interface addiction and couldn’t dig herself out until the screen was covered in jade mist and mysterious symbols that meant nothing unless you had the secret cheat note. The Mistweaver has currently seen a spot of light and can communicate with the outside world again. For a while, at least. The Mistweaver will stop talking about herself in third person now.
If you’ve seen my latest video, my Gruul mythic kill, you may have noticed that my UI looks about 300% more spaced out now with 200% more Monk references. Yeah, that’s what I’ve been doing the past days and it’s not even half of it. I may or may not have done an equal effort to pimp my Windwalker and Brewmaster UI in the same fashion.
“Hello, my name is Ashleah and I am a UI addict. It has been 20 minutes since I last tweaked my weakauras.”
